It began in Pforzheim, Germany's City of Gold. Five generations later, the work goes on in Eisingen, in the old traditional way. Goldsmiths, engravers, diamond setters and polishers, working in solid 18 karat gold and platinum 950.
A LOTOS is not bought for a season. It is kept. It is worn for decades, and then it is passed on.
Every piece already carries its proof where proof belongs: in the metal. The hallmark. The LOTOS responsibility mark, registered with the precious-metal authorities of Germany, Switzerland and beyond.

Today, a LOTOS comes with a card made of metal. On it, a code. Scan it, and the details of the piece appear.
That card says something important. A piece of this value deserves more than a receipt, and its details belong within reach of its owner, wherever they are.

A document records a moment. A LOTOS has a life.
A document describes a piece as it was on the day it left the workshop. The piece goes on.
It changes hands. It returns to Eisingen to be adjusted, repaired, polished. It is given as a gift. It is left to the next generation. Twenty years later, the document says exactly what it said on the first day.
So we asked a simple question.
What if that card opened not a document, but the life of the piece?
Introducing the LOTOS Passport.
A permanent record for every piece LOTOS makes. It opens from the same metal card. It stays with the owner. And it grows with the piece, for as long as the piece exists.
Proven.
When a piece is finished, it receives its own record: the model, the gold, the platinum, the stones, the day it left Eisingen. The certificate of authenticity is attached to the piece itself, and so are the grading reports for its stones.
That record is written to a public blockchain. It can be added to. It can never be rewritten. Not by a counterfeiter. Not by anyone. Not even by us.
Owned.
Every Passport carries the name of the person who owns the piece. When it is given, sold or inherited, ownership passes in a single step, and the Passport records every handover, in order, back to the day it left Eisingen.
A collector buying a LOTOS second-hand no longer has to take anyone's word. If the seller cannot pass on the Passport, the buyer knows.
Remembered.
Only LOTOS may service a LOTOS. Now every service leaves a trace. Each adjustment, repair and polish is added to the Passport by the house, on the day it happens.
The lifetime guarantee lives there too, issued at the handover and bound to the piece it protects. It cannot be misplaced, because it is never anywhere else.

The owner carries everything about their piece in a dedicated app. The story of its design. A film of its making. How to care for it. And a direct line to the house, for a question, a service, or a conversation.

Every piece, certificate and change of ownership is written to a public blockchain. Anyone can verify it. No one can rewrite it.
Certificates are stored on IPFS, a decentralised network that addresses each file by its content. Change a single character, and the address changes with it.
Each owner receives a secure digital wallet automatically. They never handle keys, buy currency or see the word blockchain. They see their piece.
